ODU had to be pefect to beat Fisher

Reed (above) took the tough loss in game three

Canton, OH - It took a complete game gem by Ohio Dominican pitcher Nick Venditti to defeat Fisher College in game three of the NAIA Un-Affiliated Play In Series. Venditti tossed a perfect game. Nine innings, no hits, no walks, no one reached base.

This was the first time in the short nine year history of Fisher College that the Falcons have had a perfect game thrown against them.
Freshman Casey Reed (Ossipee, NH) took the tough loss as he pitched well over his seven innings. He allowed ODU to score six runs (three earned) while scattering 10 hits.

With the loss, the Fisher College Falcons 2010 season is over. They finished with a 26-25 overall record and also captured their sixth straight Sunrise Conference title. As the calendar turns to June, everyone will be watching to see where senior Edwin Pena (Union City, NJ) goes in the upcoming Major League Baseball draft.
