Basketball win, Men's Soccer drops its final game

Men's Soccer

Lawrence, MA - The Fisher College Men's Soccer team dropped its final game of the season today, 5-0 against Sunrise Conference opponent University of Maine at Machias. With the loss, Fisher finishes with a 2-15-1 record.

Men's Basketball

Manchester, NH - Freshman Jasmin Handanovic (Milford, NH) scored 31 points as the Fisher Men's Basketball team captured the 2009 Hesser College Tip Off Tournament Tittle. Fisher won easily 113-42 over Northern Maine. Junior Christaan Hammond (Seattle, WA) was named tournament MVP and fellow classmate Casey Pursell (Seattle, WA) was named to the All Tournament team.

The Men will return to action this Friday, November 13th, as they take on the University of Maine at Augusta. Game time is set for 8pm at Madison Park Community Center in Roxbury, MA.

Women's Basketball


Manchester, NH - Both senior Kianesha Dennis (Lynn, MA) and junior Tiffany Beckman (East Hartford, CT) scored 17 points as the Fisher Women's Basketball team beat Hampshire College in the Hesser College Tip Off Tournament Consolation Game. Senior Leslie Wadhams (Burlington, VT) added 15 points in the winning effort. Beckman was named to the All Tournament team as she scored 33 points in two games.

The Women will resume play this Friday, November 13th, when they face the University of Maine at Augusta. Tip off is at 6pm at Madison Park Community Center in Roxbury, MA.
