Repeat hopes fall short

Maine-Fort Kent wins 81-63 in the Championship Game

Concord, NH - The fantastic 2009-2010 Fisher College Men's Basketball season came to a close today as the University of Maine at Fort Kent beat the Falcons by a score of 81-63.

The Bengal offense was just too much for Fisher to handle as they out scored the Falcons 43-27 in the second half.

The Falcons were led offensively by junior Oscar Brown (Buffalo, NY) and freshman Jasmin Handanovic (Milford, NH) who score 14 points each. Brown also collected 11 rebounds to record a double-double. Also recording double digit points and rebounds was junior Casey Pursell (Seattle, WA) who had 11 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

The season is now over for the Fisher College Falcons, who fall to 24-6. The University of Maine at Fort Kent will advance to the NAIA Division II National Tournament which is held in Point Lookout, MO.
