Boston, MA - It was announced this past Tuesday (5/25) that Fisher College Graduate Tom Englehardt '09 was named the Yawkey Amateur Baseball League Player of the Week for the week of May 17 - May 24.
Here is what was posted on the YBL website:
"Tom has been on a rip since the gun was sounded for the ’10 YBL season. His .538BA was good for 4th best in the YBL at week’s end.
Englehardt was 6 for 7 scoring 5 runs and knocking in 6 against the Braves (May 17) and Rockies (May 20). The Astros figured Tommy out on Sunday by keeping his bat quiet as he went 0 for 3 with a walk."
Englehardt was a stand out Baseball player here at Fisher College. He was awarded the Sunrise Conference Player of the Year three times along with being named to the NAIA All American Team twice.
On behalf of the entire Fisher College Athletic Department, we would like to extend our congratulations to Tom Englehardt and wish him continued success in the future.
