Pursell, Handanovic extend Fisher's winning streak to 16 games
Roxbury, MA - Scoring 19 points apiece, junior Casey Pursell (Seattle, WA) and freshman Jasmin Handanovic (Milford, NH) led the Fisher Men's Basketball team to its 18th win of the season and 16th in a row.
After a back and forth first half, Daniel Webster College (Nashua, NH / 5-9) matched the Falcon offense and found themselves tied at 40 when the halftime horn sounded. Guided by Pursell and Handanovic, Fisher got key contributions from junior Louis Williams (Burlington, VT), who recorded 17 points, and senior Ryan Henry (Westwood, NJ), who added 16 points in the victory. Junior Oscar Brown (Buffalo, NY) had a big day along the boards, as he collected 10 rebounds.
With the victory, the Fisher Men's Basketball team finished up its non-conference schedule and finished with a 13-1 record. Fisher will look to add to the streak this weekend, as they travel to upstate New York and take on Sunrise Conference rivals, Paul Smiths College (Friday night) and SUNY-Canton (Saturday night).
