Roxbury, MA - The Fisher College Basketball teams split their double header today versus the University of Maine at Augusta. In the first game, the visiting Lady Moose beat the Lady Falcons, 63-53. Junior Tiffany Beckman (East Hartford, CT) scored 15 points and both seniors Jackie Streeter (Westminster, MA) and Kianesha Dennis (Lynn, MA) collected 10 rebounds each but that wasn't enough to pull out the victory.
In the second game, three different Falcons scored 16 points as the Men's team improves to 2-0 with a 88-69 win versus Maine at Augusta. Juniors Christaan Hammond (Seattle, WA), Louis Williams (Burlington, VT) and Oscar Brown (Buffalo, NY) led the team with 16 points apiece. Junior Casey Pursell (Seattle, WA) collected 12 rebounds.
The Fisher Basketball teams will hit the court next friday night. The Women will be hosting Mansfield University while the Men will be traveling to the Roger Williams University Tournament held in Bristol, RI.
