Today at 3pm, the second ranked University of Maine at Fort Kent Bengals will take on the top seeded Fisher College Falcons. The winner will advance to the NAIA National Tournament in Point Lookout, MO. During the regular season, UMFK complied a record of 21-9 and 11-2 in the conference which was tied with Fisher (19-11 / 11-2) for the best conference record. Fisher was determined the #1 seed on a tie breaker. That tie breaker was the best record versus the #3 seed (UMaine-Machias). Fisher beat Machias twice where Fort Kent split with them. These two teams split the home and home series with Fisher winning 79-71 at Fort Kent, Maine. The tide turned on Fisher when Fort Kent came to Boston. The Bengals came away with a dramatic 2pt win, 79-77.
For Fisher, sophomore Louis Williams (Burlington, VT) led the way in the semi-final game vs College of Saint Joseph's with 28 points. In the two games against UMFK, Williams averaged 18.5 points per game. Senior Brandon Hamilton (Sarasota, FL) scored 26 points in the 79-77 loss in his only meeting vs UMFK.
On the Fort Kent side, they beat the University of Maine at Machias yesterday by a score of 77-62. They are led by Freshman Brandon Fox, who averages 18 points a game, and junior Jimmy Lopez, who averages 15.6 points per game.

Fisher celebrates its 4th Championship in the past 5 years
The Fisher Men's Basketball team, led by senior Brandon Hamilton (Sarasota, FL) and sophomore Louis Williams (Burlington, VT), won its 4th Sunrise Conference Tournament title in the past 5 years. Hamilton was held to just 6 points in the first half but turned it on down the stretch as he finished with 23 on the night. Williams finished with 20 points, 15 of which were in the first half. With the win Fisher College improves to 21-11 on the season and will make the trip out to Point Lookout, MO for the NAIA National Tournament.
